A good example

It's rare that I write about other music, not because I don't want to but because I have enough problems writing about and promoting my own. However, today a musician named Atomic Skunk followed me on Twitter and it started a whole chain of events that I found very positive.

First and foremost, I like the music. It's well crafted ambient/electronica that does not exclude form and songwriting  I've been listening to more of this lately, and this is a step above some of the other things I've sampled on the web. This musician is not afraid of melody and is not just gratuitously using the common elements of this style of music.

Second, his website is simple, easy to navigate and has plenty of music for free. All of his press, social media sites, contact info is there. I've spent some time researching  musician's web presence, with this site being a great example.  This site does not get in the way of the main thing: his music.

This all started with a follow on Twitter, but to me it shows what can be done with a simple, unified presentation of music on the web.
